Imagine… l’édition is a traveling exhibit produced jointly by the Association nationale des éditeurs de livres (ANEL) and the Regroupement des éditeurs canadiens-français.
It will give members of the public an up-close look at the way publishers perceive and experience books. The exhibit features French-language publishers in Quebec and other parts of Canada and depicts various aspects of the trade. It also provides, through publishing, a glimpse of Quebec and Canadian society. The exhibit includes a structure showing the 200 French-language publishing houses in Quebec and the rest of Canada and statements from publishers about their trade. The second part of the exhibit deals with the historical and technical aspects of publishing.
The exhibit will be in Moncton from August 18 to September 17. It will tour Europe in 2000 and is scheduled to be in Barcelona by World Book Day on April 23, 2000.
