Meeting between Jacques Chirac, President of the French Republic, and the Acadian community

In conjunction with the VIIIe Sommet de la Francophonie, the Société nationale de l’Acadie (SNA) is organizing an event that will give the Acadian community an opportunity to meet the President of the French Republic, Jacques Chirac, in a place that is symbolic of Acadian history: the Monument-Lefebvre National Historic Site in Memramcook
President Chirac and his wife will be greeted by the Premier of New Brunswick and his wife, the president of the SNA, the mayor of the village of Memramcook and the general public, who will be invited to take part in the event.
