In conjunction with the VIIIe Sommet de la Francophonie and the Year of the Canadian Francophonie, the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadienne (FCFA) du Canada [Federation of Acadian and Francophone Communities of Canada] will hold its XXIVe Annual General Meeting on August 21, 1999, in Moncton, New Brunswick. The theme of the congress will be " The future of Francophone minorities in the global context " and a forum will allow participants to think of perspectives for the international Francophonie. The FCFA will also be represented in the Village de la Francophonie in Dieppe, between August 29 and September 6, 1999.
