Location : Ottawa, Ontario

The APF (Assemblée parlementaire de la Francophonie), an organization of French-speaking parliamentarians, was founded in Luxembourg in 1967. Prior to July 1998, the APF was known as the Assemblée internationale des parlementaires de langue française (AIPLF). At the Mauritius Summit in 1993, the organization was recognized as the consultative assembly of La Francophonie. The members of the APF take part in the proceedings of the Summit, the Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie and the Permanent Council of La Francophonie, addressing specific issues of interest to the organization. At its 25th ordinary session in Ottawa, the APF has finalized its plans for the Moncton Summit.
