Les Jeux de la francophonie canadienne / The French Canadian Games

The French Canadian Games (Les Jeux de la francophonie canadienne) will bring together more than 1,000 Francophone, francophile, Quebec and Acadian young people from across the country to engage in friendly competitions. These games, open to young people 15 to 18 years old enrolled in secondary school or first year of CÉGEP, are modelled after the Greek Olympics as well as various regional games. Participants will vie against each other in three fields: sports, the arts and education.
Romeo LeBlanc, Governor General of Canada, will be the Honorary President of the first Games which will become biennial and represent a unique cultural and sportive event in Canada.
