The five different-coloured speech bubbles convey the ideas of sharing, solidarity and intercultural dialogue, fundamental values of La Francophonie that will guide the summit talks. The logo also includes the names of the event and the host city, the first Francophone city in the Americas.

The emblem for the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) is integrated into the visual identity and supports the event.

The host governments wanted this thoroughly modern logo to mark a revival and to show how enthusiastic they are about the summit being held in Québec City.
