What is the Francophonie Summit? Who attends? Who are the members of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie? What body is responsible for organizing the XIIe Sommet de la Francophonie?
Journalists, camera operators and media technicians who are covering Summit activities, from October 15 to 19, 2008, must receive “Media” accreditation. To be accredited, you must complete a Media Accreditation Form no later than September 25, 2008:
To be accredited as a media representative, you must have a professional card or submit a letter from a bona fide press agency manager confirming the assignment. We wish to point out that representatives of civil society, private organizations, interest groups, government employees, observers and citizens cannot be accredited as media representatives. For more information, consult the Media Accreditation Policy (PDF, 32 KB).
Media accreditation provides access to the press centre and press activities. Certain events, however, are accessible only for restricted coverage (pool).
The accreditation form must be provided with a copy of your professional card or a letter from a manager of a recognized media organization confirming the assignment.
