•  Can I take part in the XII^e Sommet de la Francophonie?

  Since the XII^e Sommet de la Francophonie is an inter-governmental meeting, only heads of State and government from member countries and governments of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), along with their advisors, can take part.

•  Can I volunteer?

  All of our volunteer positions have now been filled.

  The Secrétariat d'organisation du XII^e Sommet de la Francophonie would like to thank all those who responded with such eagerness and enthusiasm to the invitation to volunteer at this unique event.

•  How do I obtain my media accreditation?

  To obtain your accreditation, you must fill out the Media Accreditation Form no later than September 25, 2008.

•  How can my company offer its services?

  We generally post all requests for the goods and services we need on MERX, Canada's electronic bulletin board. You can consult MERX at www.merx.com.

•  What are discussed at the XII^e Sommet de la Francophonie?

  In addition to the international political situation, four main issues are discussed at the XII^e Sommet de la Francophonie: democracy and the rule of law, economic governance, the environment, and the French language.

•  Is it possible to work with the Secrétariat d'organisation du XII^e Sommet de la Francophonie to organize an event related to the Sommet?

  The Organization Secretariat's mandate is to prepare, organize and conduct the XII^e Sommet de la Francophonie. Organizing the activities surrounding the Summit is therefore not part of its mandate.

  The Secretariat has, however, funded special projects designed to promote La Francophonie. The deadline for submitting a request for financial assistance was April 25, 2008. The list of funded projects can be found at http://www.francophoniequebec2008.qc.ca/en/apropos/projets_speciaux.php.
