Developing and strengthening relations with La Francophonie

The Government of New Brunswick joined La Francophonie in 1977.

This participation is based on the specificity of New Brunswick, its commitment to its Francophone community and its resolve with respect to the linguistic duality of its services and population.

Since the Moncton Summit in 1999, New Brunswick has put great effort into La Francophonie by prioritizing:

• youth;
• education and training;
• communication technology.
